SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE GRADE SCHOOL

At the end of the six - year integrated curricular and co - curricular programs, the Grade School graduates are expected to have acquired basic skills necessary for the secondary education programs. They should be able to:

1. Comprehend and interpret reading materials suited to their grade level
2. Express themselves adequately, correctly and effectively both in written and oral forms in English and Filipino on topics suited to their age, interest and experiences and communicate truth freely
3. Perform with standard speed and accuracy the fundamental operations in Mathematics, apply mathematical concepts and principles in solving problems related to daily living
4. Apply the process of observation, comparison, classification, inferring, measurement, experimentation and verification in simple scientific questions
5. Express themselves adequately and creatively in Music and Arts
6. Perform fundamental skills for Physical fitness, dance and sports
7. Use profitably, resourcefully and creatively the available human and material resources in the community for Work Education, Arts, and Social Studies projects
8. Manifest by giving appreciation for their distinct cultural heritage, by their ability to identify historical sites personages and perform Filipino folk dances and songs and respect for Filipino sound customs and traditions

With Religion and Character Education integrated in all subjects in the Grade School, the Grade six graduates are expected to manifest in their behavior the Christian moral and spiritual values and attitudes particularly the following:

1. Answering correctly and with a degree of conviction, the questions about the basic truths and teachings of the Catholic Church
2. Dealing honestly and fairly with oneself and others
3. Showing kindness and concern for the poor and the needy
4. Enjoying the presence of others at work and at play in school and at home
5. Participating willingly and attentively in the celebration of the Eucharist, the Sacraments and other liturgical and para - liturgical services
6. Reciting basic prayers, communicating with God through personal prayers and reflections on scripture passages
7. Engaging responsibly and actively in at least one extra - curricular activity or social service project of the school, the community or the parish
